Self-Motivated Play – Preschoolers have free choice of everything available to them at preschool (except outside play.)  They have fun while socializing and learning the skills of self-direction and self-regulation.

Handwriting Time – During Self-Motivated Play time, a group of four children and one teacher will practice many skills including, but not limited to: Tracing-this teaches the correct form of writing( top-to-bottom and left-to right), Letter Sounds, Number and Letter Recognition, Counting, Scissor Skills and Pincer Grasp, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, and Conversation Regarding Specific Topics

Morning Circle Time – Calendar Review/Days of the Week/Months of the Year, Season/Weather, Phonics/Sign Language, Counting, Songs, Activities With Movement,  Intro to Today’s Curriculum, Awesome Blossom Sharing

10:30am-11:15am

Outside Play Time – Large Motor  Skills, Free Play, Group Games, Swings, Climbing Structures, Slides, Riding Toys, Sand Table, Sensory Table, Gardening and Water Table/Seasonal.  Drinking Water is Always Available to Children

Instructional Circle Time/Hand-Washing to Prepare for Lunch – Children often share personal stories during this time as others are going to the bathroom to wash hands. A song, book, activities with movement, or short instruction pertaining to curriculum may also occur.

11:30am-12:00pm

Lunch Time/Potty Turns – Skills and Concepts of Nutrition, Social Skills, Nice Manners, Thoughtfulness, Responsibility and Independence are learned and practiced during this time.  Every child takes a bathroom turn after finishing lunch.

12:00am-12:30pm

Free-Choice Time – Children may be finishing up bathroom turns, then return to the table/circle-time area for a “parallel play” time. They have choices of manipulatives in buckets, puzzles, and books.

Music Mike attends on Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00-12:30, so schedule varies slightly.

Instructional Circle Time –  We keep them moving and engaged.  Instruction Pertaining to Curriculum, Story Time, Songs, Games, Activities, Movement with Direction, Props, Everything and Anything to Make Learning FUN!

Project Time – Creative Art, Crafts, Following Directions, Tactile Experience, Fine Motor Skill, Language Expression Coordinated With Art, Painting, Science and Math.

Children wash hands to prepare for snack upon completing project time.

  • General Math – ordinal counting, counting by tens, touch counting, etc. Also, more and less and “hands on” addition and subtraction
  • Language Development – usage and manipulation of words to express self, ideas and goals. Expressive language is encouraged in all aspects of development to empower the child in his/her environment
  • Reading – The children will be reading every day at preschool. They will also be provided with Library Time each day, to allow them quiet time alone with a book. Letter sounds are a primary focus, allowing children to sound out words in the early stages of reading.

Tuition is due at the FIRST of each week or month, depending on your choice of payment schedule. If you choose to pay bi-monthly, tuition is due on the l’t and the 15th of each month. We allow choice of payment schedule to accommodate individual needs. To continue this service, it is essential the time period being paid is indicated on your payment.
